Actor Randeep Hooda is extremely elated these days. Not only had the actor won accolades for his role in Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, but he also recently made it to the list of the 20 sexiest men in a recent poll conducted by an international film website.
While Hollywood actor like Gerard Butler made the cut at number one, others on the list include Hollywood hotties Eric Dane, Joaquin Phoenix, Chris O’Donnell and Paul Walker.
Hooda revealed that he too found out about it only recently when some friends informed him about it. “I don’t think that I was shocked, but I was somewhat surprised for sure,” he says about finding himself on the list.
“I guess I have my parents’ genes to thank for that,” he smiles, adding that he doesn’t get swayed by such tags. “Of course, they contribute greatly to the feel-good factor, but they are not the only reason to feel good either.”
From being known as actor Sushmita Sen’s ‘toyboy’, despite having films like D and Risk to his credit, to making a mark as an actor, Hooda’s come a long way. “Yes, I’ve definitely come a long way since and I don’t want to go back that way ever again,” he smiles. What he doesn't mind talking about though is his work.
The commercial success of his last film has finally made him feel at home in Bollywood in the mainstream setup, feels Hooda.
“The film has certainly opened many more doors for me,” says the actor who's now looking to his films including Rang Rasiya and Sahib Biwi aur Gangster this year.
