Actor Vishnu Vishal, who is currently on a break recovering from his spine injury, has signed a three-film deal with the popular studio Viacom 18. Vishnu's last film Silukkuvaarpatti Singam failed to meet the expectations at the box-office, but 2018 turned out to be a memorable year for the actor since his crime investigative thriller Ratsasan, which also featured Amala Paul in an important role, was declared a major blockbuster at the box-office.
So, the new deal with Viacom 18 comes as no surprise as Vishnu Vishal has been long-known for his excellent choice of scripts which are majorly content-driven. Quality films have punctuated his career at consistent intervals. While more details on the deal are yet to emerge, Vishnu's home banner VV Studioz will co-produce all the three upcoming projects of the actor in association with Viacom 18.
Vishnu Vishal was shooting for the action drama Kaadan directed by Prabhu Solomon three months back. It was when he suffered a terrible injury and had to be confined to bed rest. While he is gradually recuperating, he is likely to start shooting for his next project very soon. He will be seen sharing the screen space with his friend and actor Vikranth in his next project. The screenplay and dialogues for the Vikranth-Vishnu Vishal project are said to be penned by Vijay Sethupathi.
