CHENNAI: The record run of Tamil film "Chandramukhi", starring superstar Rajnikant whose latest "Shivaji" too has been a phenomenal success, is a cause for celebration, as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and others come together at a special event to mark the occasion on Monday.
The Tamil Film Producers' Association and the Sivaji Films have organised a function at the Kamaraj auditorium to mark the 804th day of "Chandramukhi" at the Shanthi Theater here on Monday.
Karunanidhi will preside over the function and present awards to the film's cast, including Rajni who has been keeping away from politics despite repeated overtures from the state's ruling DMK.
Prominent actor Kamal Haasan, director P. Vasu and veteran film producers K. Balachander and A.V.M. Saravanan will also attend the event.
There will be a special screening of scenes that were shot for the film but were not included in the released version.
