After the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) called for a ban on Rohit Shetty's upcoming directorial, Singham Returns, the director has come out to the forefront clearing all the allegations.
The HJS cited that the film depicts Hindu saints in poor light, following a scene from the film's trailer and has also objected to a particular dialogue from the sequel.
Rohit Shetty who cleared the air was quoted saying that he has never made anything controversial in his career and he would continue following the same path, not creating anything which would bring in unnecessary controversies to the film and deter its growth at the ticket windows.
When asked about the reported ban, the director felt that the organisation has still not seen the film and he is planning to have a discussion with them soon.
Being one of the biggest commercial directors, Rohit has gifted the industry with some big blockbuster hits like the Golmaal series,Bol Bachchan and the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express, most of them bringing in a sum of Rs 100 crore and Rs 200 crore to the industry.
Singham which was released three years ago, was much loved by the audiences, especially the cops. And given that Singham Returns is a sequel to that, Rohit has clearly maintained his ground on showing cops in a progressive light here as well.
As for the ban and other controversies, Rohit ruled out all of it calling them 'mere speculations'! We just hope everything gets sorted between the director and the organisation as soon as possible.
