'RRR' actor Ram Charan tests positive for coronavirus

Ram Charan posted a note on his social media pages about being tested positive for COVID-19.

Telugu star Ram Charan has been tested positive for coronavirus. The actor posted a note on his social media pages and stated that he is asymptomatic and currently quarantining at home. Ram stated, "I have tested positive for COVID-19. No symptoms and quarantined at home. Hope to heal soon and come out stronger." On the work front, the Dhruva actor has been shooting for SS Rajamouli's RRR alongside Jr NTR in Hyderabad.

Ram captioned his post stating, "Request all that have been around me in the past couple of days to get tested. More updates on my recovery soon."

Meanwhile, talking about RRR, in the magnum opus, Ram plays the role of Alluri Seetharama Raju while Jr NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem. The film has Alia Bhatt as the female lead as well as Olivia Morris. Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody have been roped in for pivotal roles.

RRR is presented by D. Parvathi and produced by DVV Danayya. While the story is penned by V. Vijayendra Prasad. RRR is likely to hit the screens in 2021.

In July this year, Rajamouli was also tested positive for COVID-19. He had tweeted about the same stating, "My family members and I developed a slight fever a few days ago. It subsided by itself but we got tested nevertheless. The result has shown a mild COVID positive today. We have home quarantined as prescribed by the doctors."

The filmmaker's tweet further read as "All of us are feeling better with no symptoms but are following all precautions and instructions... Just waiting to develop antibodies so that we can donate our plasma..."
