Apart from Sahil Khattar, Bajao also features Raftaar, Tanuj Virwani, and Sahil Vaid in the leading roles. The show is streaming on JioCinema.

Bajao is making all the right noises as the show has been appreciated for its novel concept, intriguing screenplay and amazing dialogues. Set in the Punjabi pop music industry, the JioCinema show follows 3 young filmmakers as they navigate the quirky world of entertainment to become the biggest creators of music videos.

While Raftaar plays the Punjabi pop artist Babbar in his acting debut, the role of three filmmakers is played by Tanuj Virwani as Ved, Sahil Vaid as Cookie, and Sahil Khattar as Dhaari. Khattar has been receiving humongous love from the audiences as the #DhaariSabPeBhaari has been trending on social media since the show released on August 25.

In an exclusive interview with DNA, Sahil Khattar said he channeled his "inner Aamir Khan" to prepare for his role and also shed light  on the overwhelmingly positive response he has been receiving for the show. Coming from Chandigarh, we asked Sahil if it was easy for him to play a Haryanvi character in the show. He responded, "We all have an Aamir Khan inside us who wants to be the perfectionist. I represented Haryana while playing roller hockey for India and I had an amazing time with people from Kurukshetra, Rohtak, and Bhiwani. Surprisingly, I observed and absorbed a lot of their lingo there."

"But when the show was offered to me, I really wanted to work on my diction and got in touch with the right guy. So, while it was easy, it was also difficult because the journey from 0 to 50 is the easiest, from 50 to 80, it gets tougher and from 80 to 100, it is the most difficult so I was in that 80 to 100 zone. And even if you watch the show, you will realise that I have kept a very minimal accent so that people across India should understand it", Sahil added.

Sharing his excitement on the crazy response for his character, Sahil added, "In Bajao, my character Dhaari has a dialogue, "Ek Dhaari Sab Pe Bhaari", and that has been trending on Twitter. Fans also made creatives on social media with that dialogue. The reactions have been amazing. Dhaari has been very Bhaari on me. I am happy after so much of hard work and patience, ab aayi hai Dhaari Ki Baari (now it's the time of Dhaari). I am on cloud nine, overwhelmed, and really ecstatic right now. It's been a magical ride for me."

Starting from a radio jockey, Sahil has been a popular YouTuber and television host before he jumped into films. He was most famously seen portraying Syed Kirmani in 83, Kabir Khan's sports drama based on Indian cricket team's maiden World Cup win in 1983 under the leadership of Kapil Dev, whose role was played by Ranveer Singh in the 2021 film.
