Salman Khan has crossed all his previous records and thanks to a hugely stylised 'Kick', Salman has inevitably turned out to be the biggest money-spinner in Bollywood today. Although lagging much behind Aamir Khan's 'Dhoom:3' (Rs 542 crore gross) and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Chennai Express' (Rs 422 crore gross) in terms of worldwide gross collections, Salman Khan has bettered his previous record.
'Kick' now stands at a gross collection of whopping Rs 372.50 crore at the worldwide box office. 'Kick' which has earned Rs 229.45 crore nett till the fourth Friday has now taken its gross domestic collection to a huge Rs 305.16 crore. The film has also outperformed all other Salman flicks overseas, becoming Salman's highest grosser worldwide.
'Kick' has managed to collect US $11 million at the overseas box office which is about Rs 67.34 crore gross, taking its worldwide collections to Rs 372.50 crore.
With Ajay Devgn's 'Singham Returns' putting a brake on the anticipated Salman film, 'Kick' might finish its lifetime around the Rs 235 crore mark. It would seriously overtake Krrish 3's gross worldwide collections which is just about a stone's throw away from 'Kick'. Hrithik Roshan's film stands at a lifetime worldwide collections of Rs 374 crore and is all set to be overtaken by Salman's 'Kick'.
All that we need to see now is whether Salman will be able to take over Aamir's '3 Idiots' whose gross collection is of Rs 395 crores worldwide. But as of now, it looks a little difficult. But when it's Salman Khan, never say never!
