The actor said, he would continue his trend of acting in big banners, where he gets an opportunity to share screen with big stars, even if it's a miniscule role.

From a sober brother in Vivah to gay designer in Fashion' and then to a director in I Hate Luv Storys, actor Samir Soni, is contented with miniscule roles in big banners movies and would continue to do so.

"I have no complaints... I am happy and satisfied about the films I have worked in. It was indeed a pleasure working with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Priyanka Chopra and others," Samir told PTI here.

"The length of the character or whether I am in the frame as the protagonist is not that important to me. I am happy to know that I have left a mark as people today remember me for my roles in movies like Baghban, Fashion and others," the 41-year-old actor said.

The actor, who made his film debut opposite actress Mamta Kulkarni in China Gate in 1998, shot to fame by playing the role of one of Amitabh Bachchan's son in Baghban.

"I have got recognition for almost every role that I have played. People remember me as an elder brother of Shahid, a gay designer in Fashion. For me, recognition is an icing on the cake," he said.

The actor was a part of popular television series Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin on Sony TV.

The actor said, he would continue his trend of acting in big banners, where he gets an opportunity to share screen with big stars, even if it's a miniscule role.

Big banners like Dharma Productions, Rajshri, BR Chopra, Madhur Bhandarkar will never compromise on the quality of the film and the resources. They ensure they have the best technicians and support team, Samir said.

"Marketing is good they package the movie well. For obvious reasons, if any one of them offers me a side role, I would be a mad to reject it. But this does not mean I won't act in small budget movies, if everything satisfies me including the role and quality of the film, I would love to do it," he said.

The actor also played the role of a director in Karan Johar's recently released I Hate Luv Storys.

On his role, Samir said that he is not imitating any director in the movie be it Sanjay Leela Bhansali or Karan Johar.

"I play the role of the country's numero uno film-maker. My forte is doing love stories. Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor work with me in the film," he said.
