Sarita Joshi becomes Gangoobai
Sarita Joshi plays a maid from Matheran who comes to Mumbai in search of the sari and experiences its merciless urban life and infamous fashion industry.
Sarita Joshi, the TV, film and stage actor best remembered as Baa of Baa Bahoo aur Baby will soon be seen in a Hindi film Gangoobai.
Directed by Priya Krishnaswamy and produced by NFDC, the film revolves around Gangoobai (played by Sarita Joshi) and her obsession with buying an expensive Gara sari.
She plays a maid from Matheran who comes to Mumbai in search of the sari and experiences its merciless urban life and infamous fashion industry.
Says Priya, “Gangoobai wouldn’t be Gangoobai had it not been for Saritaji. I am all praises for her professionalism even as a veteran today.”
