Will 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' have a smooth release in Karnataka now?

Actor Sathyaraj, popularly known for his role of Kattappa in SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali among others, has finally apologised for a speech he made 9 years ago on the Cauvery water crisis. The actor was accused of hurting the sentiments of the residents of Karnataka.

Sathyaraj's apology comes shortly after an apology video of Rajamouli in which he requested the Kannadigas for a smooth release of Baahubali 2. He had stated, “We understand that the comments he made hurt the sentiments of many of our friends but we would like to say that it’s his individual opinion and would request you to understand that the Baahubali producers and I do not reflect the same opinion.”

But looks like the Kannadigas were not appeased with Rajamouli's apology and they apparently asked for a public apology from Sathyaraj, post which they would consider the release of Baahubali: The Conclusion in Karnataka. Finally, giving in to the demands, Sathyaraj has issued an apology for his comments on the Cauvery row, saying that he isn't against the residents of the state.

Here's what Sathyaraj's apology read:

"I have got to know that what I had spoken during the Cauvery water crisis has created a lot of tension among the people of Karnataka. I am not against Kannadigas or Karnataka. The biggest example for this is that for the last 35 years my assistant has been Shekar who is a Kannadiga. I would like to apologise for the statement that I had made nine years back and would like to say that I am a small worker in Bahubali film and my comment should not affect the film. I appeal to Tamils to understand."
