Shah Rukh Khan's Diwali release Happy New Year is turning out to be another winner at the box office. After setting in the biggest opening day and opening week records, the film is now nearing the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office.
After collecting over Rs 190 crores after its second week, the film had a decent third weekend at the cash registers. With the film running in around 800-900 screens now, the film collected Rs 1.04 crore on Friday, Rs 1.80 crore on Saturday and another Rs 2.33 crore on its third Sunday to take the total to Rs 198.61 crore.
The movie will soon be another entrant in the 200 crore club and given its pace, it will turn out to be the second biggest film of 2014. Salman Khan's Kick is still the biggst film of 2014 with collections of about Rs 233 crore. With the current pace of HNY, it looks extremely difficult for the SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer to trod past the Salman Khan-Jacqueline Fernandez film.
