It will be his first since 2004’s Veer Zaara

Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma will shoot for a flamboyantly shot song featuring over 200 dancers, in Imtiaz Ali’s Rehnuma during the first week of April.

Of the film’s six songs, two have been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant and one by Ashley Lobo. And either Imtiaz or Bosco Martis could be choreographing this particular song, composed by Pritam. Imtiaz’s track will have a fair bit of Bhangra in it.

Says a source, “This track is picturised on SRK (who plays a tourist guide in the film), who returns to his hometown in Punjab. Imtiaz offered to step in to choreograph only after learning that neither Vaibhavi nor Farah Khan were available. The former just returned from an outdoor shoot for Tiger Zinda Hai while Farah is shooting for Indian Idol 9.”

The last time Shah Rukh had done another colourful number set in Punjab was for the Lohri song in Veer Zaara (2004) along with Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, and Preity Zinta.
