Shaheer Sheikh who will be seen playing the role of Arjun in the upcoming Mahabharat has been preparing for the role intensely. Apart from working on his physique, Shaheer cut down on his outings and changed his food habits.  “Playing Arjun has helped me become a better human being,” says Shaheer simply. However, it’s been a long wait for him as the serial has been delayed.

The actor who shot to fame as the young college boy of Navya, over a year ago vanished after that. “I got the Mahabharat offer as soon as Navya went off air and I have always wanted to play a warrior so I said yes. The serial got delayed and though I had other offers nothing excited me enough to leave Mahabharat. But it’s been worth the wait. I got time to prepare myself — the diction, the mannerisms, carrying that kind of armour, his emotions, the way he thinks, etc. It’s been extremely challenging,” says Shaheer.  The serial is slated to go on air from September 16.
