Ahmed Khan recently suffered a potentially life-threatening head injury when during a martial arts championship tournament, he was hit on the head.
“I began to have vertigo attacks even when I was lying down in bed. The doctors finally detected a damaged nerve under my ear. I am fine now. But for two weeks, I was invalidated.”
Rumours began doing the rounds. “There were reports that I had suffered a brain stroke. I also had to cancel my trip to London for the shooting of a song for Tony D’Souza’s Mohammed Azharuddin biopic. Luckily, it was a romantic duet showing Emraan Hashmi and Nargis Fakhri (as Azhar and Sangeeta Bijlani) roaming the streets of London. There was no lip-sync, so my assistants managed to shoot the song. The doctors did not allow me to travel.”
But what added salt to his wounds would have to be his ‘friend’ Shahid Kapoor’s absence by his side. Admits Ahmed, “We’ve had some differences that were brewing for a while. They just erupted, and as the world knows I wasn’t invited to his wedding. He didn’t come to visit me when I was injured. I guess it will take time for us to be normal with one another once again.”
