Shankar Mahadevan suffered a heart attack last week. Now, on his way to recovery, Shankar says he is feeling better than ever.
“It was somewhat scary. But I am rocking now. It’s all thanks to the love and good wishes that I received while I was unwell,” says the maverick composer currently working on the large music score of director Shujaat Saudagar’s Rock On 2. The work has been postponed because of Shankar’s ill-health.
“But I’ll be back soon. I am now back at home from the hospital, chilling and creating music in my head. Soon, those tunes will find their way out,” says Shankar whose partnership with Ehsaan and Loy has yielded some of the most ear-friendly motion picture soundtracks in recent times.
Says Shankar, “I am recovering quickly and will soon be back in action. I have never felt better.”
Shankar feels no need to cut down on work as SEL doesn’t believe in quantifying their output. “We’ve never believed in churning out music like products in a factory. We do only two films at the most per year. After 17 years of togetherness, we still look forward to the Monday morning jamming sessions at the studio.”
