Nusrat Jahan got married on the day when she was supposed to be in the parliament and taken an oath, and Twitterati did not miss noticing this fact

Nusrat Jahan's fairytale wedding was the talk of the town for the longest time. While many people couldn't stop gawning over how stunning the whole affair was, the other part of people actually pointed out a major error by Nusrat as a professional.

Twitterati pointed fingers at both Nusrat Jahan and Mimi Chakraborty, who contested elections this year. Nusrat, who got married to businessman Nikhil Jain in Turkey on June 19, was supposed to be in the parliament for her oath-taking on the exact same day.

Jahan won the Basirhat seat with a margin of over 3 lakh votes. The users were extremely upset that their MP missed her first day at the paliament to get married. Her best friend Mimi too was expected to be there, but she chose the wedding instead of the oath-taking ceremony.

On a picture shared by Mimi Chakraborty from Turkey on Instagram, a user wrote, "Ladies and gentlemen this is our beloved MP who is so responsible that she is going to miss her first day at the parliament!!! Kudos!!"

"What an irresponsible human being and public personality. People of West Bengal will always regret this mistake. She has time to pose for photoshoots, but no time to attend the parliament," added another user on Instagram.

Apart from the very fact that she missed the oath-taking, Nusrat Jahan was attacked for getting married outside her religion.
