Looks like the director of Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde starrer Mohenjo Daro wasn't happy with the length of the first trailer of the film. Reportedly, Ashutosh Gowariker wanted some cuts in the trailer but wasn;t allowed to do so by UTV.
Instead, UTV outsourced the responsibility of the trailer to Trigger Happy Entertainment company. The said company has previously extended its services to movies like Humshakals, Ekkees Topon Ki salaami, Kuch Kuch LLocha Hai, PK, Kick and Badlapur.
Coming back to Ashutosh Gowariker, he never wanted the responsibility of the trailer to be outsourced and was quite unhappy with the move. Apparently, when he tried to reason it out with UTV, he was bluntly asked to look after the post production of the film. SpotboyE quotes a source as saying, "UTV did a very unfair thing. At the end of the day, it was not their solo production. Ashutosh's wife Sunita was also one of the producers."
Well, it's not news now that right from the time Mohenjo Daro's trailer was out, people had made up their minds about it. Now, the question is, will Ashutosh blame the production house for the failure of the film as the trailer plays a significant role in creating the mood for a film?
