We got to watch the trailer of Dhoni's biopic titled MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and we noticed something shocking.
While the trailer talks about the life journey of Dhoni, it also brings to light a part in which he will be seen plotting against his senior team members.
Towards the end of the trailer, they show Sushant Singh Rajput, who portrays Mahendra Singh Dhoni, as the captain of the Indian cricket team. What we found intriguing was a short scene where Sushant's character can be seen telling the selectors to eliminate three of the most celebrated cricketers from the team. Although no one is named, the scene thereafter shows someone exclaiming that Dhoni is against those who helped him reach where he is.
Incidentally, Dhoni made his international debut under Sourav Ganguly's captaincy and also played for a long time under Rahul Dravid's leadership, while Sachin Tendulkar being a veteran of the team, always guided the wicket-keeper in tough times. So it's highly probable that these are the three players which were being talked about.
Is the scene referring to series of incidents which saw Ganguly and Dravid getting dropped from the ODI team? Does this also mean that Dhoni played a pivotal role in phasing the seniors out of the squad?
We'll have to wait for the film's release to find out.
