'Sholay' Impact: 10 years since he touched a guitar, the first song he remembered was the theme song

As far as iconic movies are concerned, nothing Bollywood has produced has ever matched up and it even led the BBC to remark that it was the Star Wars of Bollywood. Our favourite Sholay moment occurred recently when Kunj Karia, a music student was taking an auto home. Karia, who is learning to play the guitar, was travelling in an autorickshaw on his way back from his music class in Mulund.

To his surprise, his auto driver showed interest in the guitar he was carrying. And then when he grabbed the guitar, the first song he belted out was the theme song of Sholay.  “The driver went on to reveal that he used to be a musician and played at restaurants. However, he had to leave his passion to learn music due to family pressure and take up petty jobs,” Karia said.  The video subsequently went viral and Kunj Karia even gifted a guitar to the auto driver.
