Actor-producer Sachiin Joshi signed Mallika Sherawat for his  ambitious project Mumbai Mirror, but things apparently didn’t work out and the actress left the project. He apparently gave Mallika a signing amount of approximately Rs 75 lakhs. Since then they have managed to find her replacement and even start shooting, but the only thing missing is the money that he gave to Mallika. On the other hand people close to Mallika, allege that the whole accusation is a publicity stunt.

A source informs us, “Mallika was all set to play the role of a bar dancer in Sachiin’s upcoming flick. Sachiin claims that she even signed on the dotted line and had taken Rs 75 lakhs as an advance signing amount. But just two days before the film’s shooting, Mallika expressed her unhappiness with the role and left the project.”

Sachiin then quickly replaced Mallika with South actress, Vimla Raman. But the money that he was expecting to be returned is still nowhere to be seen. “And more than that Sachiin claims that Mallika simply vanished and he can’t get in touch with her. Apparently, he is also thinking about approaching the Producers Guild of India and file an official complaint with them,” the source adds.

On contacting Mallika, we were informed by her manager that she is not in India and currently travelling abroad and she will soon get back to us. But, a source close to Mallika rubbishes the whole incident saying it is a lie. “It’s simply rubbish. Mallika is very professional and she will not do something like this. It is a mere cheap publicity stunt to promote his film. Her name is just being dragged because she is a big star.”

Sachiin remained unavailable for comment, but we were informed that he is planning to organise a conference to make the issue public.
