Shraddha Kapoor’s quite busy with work commitments and yet, finds the time to espouse causes close to her heart. Recently, she shot an ad with her mother Shivangi and aunts Padmini and Tejaswini, which showcases handcrafted saris and salwar-kurtas by weavers from Madhya Pradesh.
Says a family friend, “Padmini approached her sister and daughter for promoting the cause and they immediately agreed. It was shot in Mumbai at a five-star hotel and Shraddha had to take a day off to shoot for it.”
This ad will be used to promote the cause of Indian artisans and handloom craftsmen for an exhibition which will be held in Delhi from tomorrow.
The source adds, “The saris they wore in the shoot were mostly organic fabric in unique, hand-embroidered zardozi, with an underlying yellow theme. The colour also happens to be Shivangi’s favourite.”
