The film is going to hit theatres on May 27 and director Pandiraj believes the audience will like the film as it has all the key elements.

Idhu namma aalu is a much-delayed film that had numerous controversies around it. And it's finally releasing on May 27. Starring Simbu and Nayanthara, the movie is directed by Pandiraj, who is well-known for his films like Pasanga and Marina. Andrea is playing a small role in the film as well.

Simbu has stated that this movie will be like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya for him, but its making has not been an easy one. His brother Kuralarasan is making his debut as a music director in this film. Earlier, there were reports of issues between Simbu and director Pandiraj. Then Kuralarasan and Pandiraj engaged in a war of words on social media over the music. Kural said he had worked hard on the music and that the director had said it was not good enough for the movie. The director retaliated saying he was going to call a press conference and talk about all the issues he faced. Meanwhile, Nayanthara also refused to shoot a song that was pending, it was reported. So it was Adah Sharma who stepped in and a special number was shot instead.

Now, the movie is going to hit theatres and director Pandiraj believes that it will appeal to the audience. It has romance and comedy, he said. As of now, the entire cast and crew must be relieved that the movie is finally getting released. We'll have to now wait and see what the audience says post the release on May 27.
