Simbu and Nayanthara in the film

According to the buzz in Kollywood, Sun TV has bought the satellite rights for the film.

This movie has been delayed for quite some time and plagued with issues. However, things seem to be looking up. The release of Simbu's film Idhu Namma Aalu has been delayed for over seven months now. There was also a controversy when the actor's brother, Kural, who turns music director with this film, accused the director of the movie, Pandiraj, of trashing the songs. There was talk that Nayanthara had refused to shoot a song as they had wasted the dates given to her.

Now, it looks like things have been cleared for the release of the film. According to the buzz in Kollywood, Sun TV has bought the satellite rights for the film. Director Pandiraj had two successful films in the last few months - Suriya's Pasanga 2 and Vishal's Kathakali. This perhaps helped them sell the movie as well.

Idhu Namma Aalu has been produced by Simbu. The movie also features Andrea Jeremiah, Arjunan, Jayaprakash, Udhayabanu Maheshwaran, Deepa Ramanujam and Amuthavaani Arumugam.

The movie was earlier slated for release on February 14, Valentine's Day. But now it looks like the movie will be delayed as there is reportedly some patchwork left. So perhaps March is when the movie will finally hit theatres.
