Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film Remo with Keerthi Suresh seems to be getting a lot of appreciation from people who are working in the film. The unit of Remo produced by RD Raja of 24 AM Studios got a big surprise from director KS Ravikumar recently.
The director has played a pivotal role in Remo for which he was paid on a per day basis true to the norms and practice of the trade. On a particular day, the he was required to act only for a few hours, but being a professional he completed his work quite quickly.
The director-cum-actor was paid for the day as usual but a few hours after leaving the set he called up the production team and offered to return half the amount as he didn’t work for the whole day. He told them that he was not ready to take the payment for the day as he had not put in a full day’s work. The production team was hesitant to take the money back but he insisted.
RD Raja, the producer of the film, said, “This is definitely an unheard of practice in this industry. Ravikumar sir has truly proved why is he one of the most respected people in the film industry. As a producer aspiring to make films of quality and content, this was a learning experience about human values and professionalism.”
