No kin to Sylvester Stallone, Rocky is all about Zayed Khan being slapped. He is slapped in a mall as well a cyber café by Isha Sharvani. Then he’s slapped by beastly bozos on the Bandra seafront, followed by more slaps delivered by a daddy-o-type who seems to wear his shoes and ties to bed. Kinky?
More: Cheek-fatigued Zay is slapped in London by a gang of Baby Marleys and Minnisha Lamba. So he returns to Mumbai where he’s slapped all over again, even hit with hockey sticks, bamboo poles, chhapan chhooris and gun nozzles till he becomes a walking-talking-dancing pool of blood.
Devoid of any decipherable storyline, this thappad carnival sends you running out of the auditorium, slapping yourself. Really, don’t cheek this one out.
