Woh Lamhe

Rating: ****

He’s finally making dhoom of another kind. Pritam asserts that he can be versatile with this score... which is being played in autorickshaws, petrol pump stations and paan shops. But it isn’t only a ‘massy’ score, it has a touch of class too. Evidence: Kya mujhe pyaar hai playbacked marvellously by Kay Kay. The deep voiced Bangladeshi singer James, who was outstanding in Bheegi bheegi si (Gangster) delivers yet another track to savour with Chal chale. And Shreya Ghoshal is emotionally impactful with her expressive rendition of So jaaoon main.

The lyrics by Neelesh Mishra and Sayeed Quadri have a poetic edge. The Bhatt Brothers have done it again – achieved a movie soundtrack that blends elements of the sufi and soft rock. Not surprisingly, Woh lamhe has been jumping up the popularity charts during the last fortnight.
