Ratna Sinha erupts against her director husband Anubhav and his ‘good friend’ Shilpa Shetty

Director Anubhav Sinha’s wife Ratna is furious with Shilpa Shetty for raking up her troubled marriage in a recent interview. After keeping silent for months about her marital woes, Ratna says she can’t take it any longer.

“Anubhav and I had the perfect marriage till a year and a half ago. We had no problems whatsoever but he suddenly left one day. I do not want to comment on their affair, but I am told they are ‘good friends’. They are both old and wise enough to make their own decisions and Anubhav knows what repercussions he will face for the choices he is making,” says Ratna.

Rumours about Shilpa and Anubhav’s affair started after the release of the ‘Dus’, of which both were a part. Although Ratna refuses to comment on Shilpa’s rising graph after ‘Big Brother’, she added, “I am not a weak person who’ll cry because a man’s left me. I was traumatised both emotionally and mentally, but I am picking up the pieces of my life now.”

Ever since Shilpa’s comments, Ratna’s phone hasn’t stopped ringing. Even her friends are angry. “Somebody has to shut up. They don’t realise that this is affecting my son Shlok.

He’s just five and is not able to take this grief. He wakes up at three in the morning and cries out of fear. He cannot go to school because people ask him where his father is,” Ratna reveals. “Anubhav’s been an irresponsible father. He has no idea of the pain a mother goes through when she sees her child suffer.”

Interestingly, no legal proceedings have begun to end the Sinha marriage. “I haven’t initiated the divorce yet. Anubhav did mention it a couple of times, but he hasn’t yet gotten back to me. He’s cut all lines of communication with us,” she adds. And she’s got just one message for Shilpa: “Please do not make any comments about my marriage — you have no authority to speak ill about it. I don’t want my son to suffer because of anyone.”
