Sonakshi Sinha at one point was the reigning diva, raining 100 crore films one after the other. From Dabanng to Rowdy Rathore to Son of Sardaar, Sona was having a dream run. But that is a thing of the past.
Every time Sonakshi has decided to take up a film and carry it on her shoulders, she has faltered. Take Noor for example. The film has hardly made an impact and the box office numbers are disastrous.
For a film backed by a popular production banner and such great marketing and publicity, the numbers are shocking.. The three day total of Noor at the box office is equal to what Sonakshi's last film Akira managed to do in half the time.
With Akira also being a flop film, the collections of Noor are further lower and it's a disaster at the BO. The film has collected around Rs 1.5 - 2 crore over the three days with its opening weekend total around Rs 5.52 crore. This also shows that despite having so many superhits to her name, it is mostly because of the leading A list actor in the film that the film managed to do great business at the ticket counters. As for Sonakshi, her box office bankability is still a question.
