Sonu Nigam had complained about the loud, blaring noise of the azaan a few days back. But his tweets were patterned as such that it caused a huge uproar on social media.
While the singer actually spoke about the loudspeaker and the noise created by it early in the morning, he was called anti-national. But then, he stood by what he said and after a fatwa was generated against him, he even shaved off his own head.
The controversy has still not ended. On Sunday morning, Sonu put out a video recording of the azaan in and around his Mumbai residence which disrupts his sleep everyday. This has sparked another debate on social media and this azaan row seems to have no end.
