Kapil Sharma's new show has gone on air and it has not really been able to match up to the huge expectations the audiences had from it. With similar characters and unfunny lines, the first episode of The Kapil Sharma Show was watchable only for one reason. Shah Rukh Khan. The actor who wowed the live audience with his trademark wit and mad antics was the highlight of the show, where the main characters played by Ali Asgar, Sunil Grover fell flat on their faces.
Now, while the reviews haven't been too encouraging for the show, there's another huge news which will disappoint all fans. Unlike Comedy Nights with Kapil, The Kapil Sharma Show won't be a continuous show. Don't believe us? Hear it from the horse's mouth.
Kapil told us in an interaction, "When we started with CNWK, we had planned to make it a series. But then, it started doing extremely well and we continued with the show. But for this new show, we already have it sorted. It will be a 26 episode series spanning over the next 13 weeks."
Does this mean that the show will end after 13 weeks? Yes, it does! But only with a promise to return with a second season. Kapil assures, "We will finish shooting for 13 weeks and then we take a small break before we again start the next season. This will be a continuous process and we will keep taking small breaks in between."
