Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro has been one of the most anticipated films of 2017. More because the actor hasn't had a release in almost two years. His last film was Bang Bang that released in October 2014. But while the trailer failed to impress us, the first song released from the film is nothing but a damp squib.

The poster along with the trailer met with severe criticism where people pointed out several grave mistakes in the story-telling and picturisation in the film. Set in the world of the Harappan civilisation, Mohenjo Daro is more a David versus Goliath story with a romantic angle serving as the perfect backdrop.

The first song Tu Hai has just been unveiled and we are highly disappointed with it. It's extremely difficult to understand what's happening and why it's actually happening throughout the song. Plus, the tune isn't catchy at all and for once, you fail to recognise music maestro AR Rahman's voice here.

Add to that, Hrithik's half-baked movements, courtesy a lazy choreography sequence which does not add anything to the song. Ashutosh who's known for his keen sense of detailing seemed to have gone completely wrong with his research for Mohenjo Daro. From clothes and attire that we're sure never existed back then to the sudden burst of colour here and there (especially the pink eyes that Hrithik sports throughout the song is so blah!), this song isn't what Hrithik fans had waited two years for! all of it feels so out of place.

We wonder if Ashu even grabbed the history book before deciding to make a film on the Mohenjo Daro era. And if the trailer left a bad taste in your mouth, hang on! Tu Hai tops that disappointment. As much as we want to bring ourselves to like Mohenjo Daro, we're slowly losing hope. Ashutosh and Hrithik, you listening?
