Actor Suniel Shetty and director Kabir Sadanand talk about their special bond.

In an industry that does not really see many stories of friendship, we have learnt about a new bond between actor Suniel Shetty and film-maker Kabir Sadanand who consider each other to be brothers.

“Suniel Shetty is not called anna for any reason. My bond with him grew on the sets of the movie that I’m coming out with but he took the relationship forward. He is a big star and I was apprehensive how to interact with him, but I had heard great stories about the wonderful person he is and all of them turned out to be true. He is my big brother now and I turn to him for everything. He has become my pillar of strength - my friend, philosopher and guide,” reveals Kabir.

The film-maker adds, “From the moment he came on board, he was committed. He gave me complete freedom as a director. I have become extremely possessive of him actually and I know I will definitely remain close to him through my life. I’m indebted to him for my life.”

Suniel returns the compliments. “We did not become friends because we were doing a film. We became friends because he is a very humble person. He is very respectful towards everyone. I will always be his brother and he does turn to me for everything. I like that actually. In our industry there are hardly few with whom you develop such a bond and I intend to build on it. I’m sure Kabir and I will go a long way and do many more projects together.”
