Hindi film Zubaan will be opening Busan International Film Festival in October. The latest news is that Tamil film Radiopetti (Radio Set) has been selected and will premiere under the New Currents category at the Busan International Film Festival in October.

Written, directed and co-produced by Hari Viswanath, Radiopetti is the story of the relationship between an old man and his radio.

“The old man is retired and he’s also deaf. This vintage radio that he loves and listens to was given to him by his dad,” explains Viswanath.

The background score for this film has been done by British musician Richard Ford. The 83-minute film will have its world premiere at Busan. Viswanath says he has also sent them to numerous other festivals like Tokyo, Singapore and Mumbai. He is likely to have a preview screening of the film in Chennai post the premiere.
