Anaida is very fond of comedy, action and murder mystery movies. “I usually like all movies which are made well. I am not, however, fond of horror films so much as they seem very funny to me,” she says. Her all-time favourite movie is Pulp Fiction directed by Quentin Tarantino. “This is one of the best written scripts I have ever come across. It’s got everything, from eclectic dialogues, ironic mix of humour and violence and a nonlinear storyline. In fact, Tarantino is also among my favourite directors,” she says.
Among her recent favourites is the blockbuster hit Avatar by James Cameron. “No film comes close to technical expertise in special effects. This movie exemplifies the power of the director’s imagination. It’s brilliant the way he has created an entire planet with unusual creatures and floating mountains,” she remarks.
Anaida also likes movies based on true stories and significant issues in the society. One of her favourites is Blood Diamond, directed by Edward Zwick. “I never considered Leonardo DiCaprio an actor before this movie. The issue in the movie is very relevant for the diamond industry, which is actually worth billions,” she says.
