Yo Yo Honey Singh promises that this year, his fans will hear and see a lot of him

In December last year, Yo Yo Honey Singh came up with a single, Makhna. With more than 174 million views on YouTube, it became an instant hit after it was uploaded. Shot against a carnival setting, the indie-pop sensation’s comeback track was sung by Honey along with Neha Kakkar, Singhsta, Pinaki, Sean and Allistair. Overwhelmed with the response, Honey told us that he’s got a lot in store for his fans in 2019, with probably even a world tour thrown in for good measure!

“We have planned this year really well. You can expect a number of singles and Bollywood songs from me. I will also be going on a world tour after a gap of five years,” informed the singer, who plans to take a number of other musicians along with him. Talking about his comeback track, Honey said that while he did expect a great response to the single, he was overwhelmed by how much his fans loved Makhna. “My management team and I would receive hundreds of e-mails asking when the song would be out, so we believed that people will like the track,” he said.

Talking about his process of working, Honey said that he never worries about putting out a new track. “Between 2016 and 2018, I have created 30-35 songs and all of them are good. I just need to sit and analyse which one to shoot the video for and release first. Then it’s all upto the listeners and viewers. The ball is in their court! If they don’t like one single, I will put out another one. If they don’t like that either, I will work harder. That’s the plan and that’s how I’ll keep working,” he added.
