The plot, unveiled

We have news for you! The rumour that is doing the rounds is Abhishek Bachchan dies in Sarkar Raj but we fished out information that this is not exactly what happens in the movie. It is his wife on screen Tanisha (Kajol’s sister) who loses her life and all these developments happen for a very interesting but practical reason.

Ram Gopal Varma, the director of the sequel to Sarkar had written the script for Sarkar Raj about one-and-a-half years back when Abhi-Ash were not married and the script had an undercurrent of romance between the duo though Abhi is shown married to Tanisha in the film.

But since they got married soon after and Ramu decided to facilitate the romantic affinity between Abhishek and Aishwarya by making Tanisha’s character die in the film.

A source says, “Ramu had to change the script of the film and make Tanisha’s character die to actually show in the end that the real life married couple Abhi-Ash are together even in reel life.”

The source adds, “It was a tricky situation for Ramu to show that the real life couple are not a couple on screen but they are engaged in some sort of romance when Abhi in the film is linked to Tanisha. So Ramu decided to kill her character as he thought people would be more inclined to see the real life couple stay together in the end of the film after they struggle and win over all odds.”

Ash’s role play
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays CEO of Sheppard power plant, an international company which brings a proposal to set up a power plant in a Maharashtra village
before the Nagre’s and an insightful Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) is quick to realise the benefits the plant can bring to the people.

After convincing Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan) who is against it for various reasons, Shankar undertakes a journey along with Anita Raj (charcater played by Ash) to the villages of Maharashtra to mobilise support of the masses. But this issue becomes a political hot-bed against the Nagre family and what follows is a grim tale of deception and treachery.

There was a rumour that the sequel to Ram Gopal’s Sarkar Raj will see Abhishek die in the course of the film, which is untrue.

Sarkar Raj is the first film post Abhi-Ash marriage that will see Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan star together.

It will have a separate background score CD release along with music release.
