The poster of Mahesh Bhatt’s upcoming film Murder 3 has a woman’s red lips, blood and thorn but Bhatt says that the film is not about blood and gore. “At the same time, the impact will be staggering,” he says.
The maverick filmmaker is all set to destroy the notion of enduring love through the film starring Randeep Hooda, Aditi Rao Hydari and a Pakistani actress Sarah.
“It’s a contemporary story about man, woman and their interpersonal relationships. It talks about the changing morality of modern India, questions the validity of everlasting love and monogamy. Not only in cities even small-town people are undergoing major changes and opening up to multi-partner relationships,” he elaborates.
In fact, Bhatt feels that just like his Arth, which way back in 1984 had debunked the institution of marriage as the be-all and end-all for women, Murder 3 will destroy the illusion of enduring love. “It exists only in books and films,” he dismisses.
