Superstar whose last seven films have earned over Rs 5000 crore

Prabhas' last seven films including the two Baahubali films, Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire, and Kalki 2898 AD, have collectively earned over Rs 5000 crore at the global box office.

Born on October 23, 1979, in a Telugu family to film producer Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju and Siva Kumari in Chennai, this actor is one of the biggest superstars in India. His films are keenly awaited and advance bookings of each of his movies break records. Even his flop films earn more than the highest-grossing films of many other Indian actors. He is none other than Uppalapati Venkata Suryanarayana Prabhas Raju, known famouly as Prabhas. His last seven films have earned over Rs 50000000000, i.e. over Rs 5000 crore at the box office.

Prabhas saw nationwide fame with Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015, that grossed Rs 650 crore worldwide. In 2017, the film's sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion became even bigger hit and grossed Rs 1800 crore at the global box office and still remains the second-highest grossing film of India. The two Baahubali films, headlined by Prabhas in a double role and directed by SS Rajamouli, have collectively earned Rs 2450 crore worldwide.

In 2019, Prabhas' next film was the action thriller Saaho, which managed to earn Rs 450 crore globally despite receiving mixed reviews. The period romantic drama Radhe Shyam, which was released in 2022 after several delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, collected Rs 150 crore globally. Made in around Rs 500 crore, Adipurush was his next release. The 2023 mythological drama, in which Prabhas portrayed Lord Rama, was a box office failure. But still, due to Prabhas' stardom, the Ramayana adaptation grossed Rs 390 crore worldwide.

The superstar made a huge comeback with the action thriller Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire. The 2023 film earned Rs 620 crore worldwide,  Prabhas' most recent release is Kalki 2898 AD, which is going strong at the box office. In around a month since its release on June 27, the Nag Ashwin directorial has grossed 1010 crore worldwide. Thus, the last seven films of Prabhas have grossed Rs 5070 crore worldwide. All the box office collections have been taken from the entertainment portal Sacnilk.

Prabhas has some of the biggest films lined up for release as well. These include The Raja Saab, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. He will also be seen in Spirit, which will be directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Vanga's last film Animal grossed over Rs 900 crore last year.
