His mother Ayesha Shroff shares his birthday plans.

It will be a working birthday today for Tiger Shroff, who turns 27 on the sets of Munna Michael, which he has been shooting for, around the clock.

His mother Ayesha Shroff shares his birthday plans. “It’s a 6 am call time at Vasai (where the film is being shot) for an action sequence. We won’t have time to celebrate at night as both he and his sister Krishna (AD on the sets) will be exhausted by the time they reach home at night. Tiger does his cardio before heading for the shoots so he gets up even earlier and today won’t be any different. He will have a double celebration once the film is complete.”

It’s difficult to shop for her son because he is a boy with simple needs, says Ayesha. “He is not into any designer stuff or electronic gadgets or sneakers. Whatever he needs, he keeps getting from Jackie and me.”

So they’ve commissioned a picture of Michael Jackson, Tiger’s idol, this year. “His dad and I have commissioned a beautiful painting — a reproduction of a Michael Jackson image that is one of Tiger’s favourites — by Vinay Vaidya, a teacher at the JJ School of Arts. It’s a very energetic, positive image. On it he has painted in neon a quote by the King Of Pop. It’s a quote Tiger repeats each day before heading out for work: ‘Study the greats. And become greater,’” shares Tiger’s mom.

That’s not the only thing his parents are gifting the boy. Adds Ayesha, “We have also put together a video for Tiger with little messages from people he’s really close to —including his classmates from all over the world and his manager.”

Apart from fans, who will throng the sets to wish him, his MM director Sabbir Khan says they will also cut a cake for Tiger. “We called for a massive one because it’s a big unit,” he adds.
