Popular Telugu comedian Ali reportedly made some sexist comments on actress Anushka Shetty at the Size Zero movie audio launch in Hyderabad, the New Indian Express reports.
The report states that the actress, who has had a good run this year with Baahubali and Rudhramadevi, was compared by Ali to a “hot jalebi” with “extraordinary thighs”. He reportedly said, “Anushka looks like a hot Jalebi who everybody likes to eat.”
The comedian reportedly told the anchor of the event Suma, “You had asked the other girl (Sonal Chauhan) to slap her thighs. However, she has no thighs. Anushka has really remarkable thighs. Ever since I saw her in Billa (where Anushka appeared in a bikini), I became her fan.”
The report adds that Ali made such remarks previously as well and has been slammed by people in the Telugu film industry for it. He is reported to have similar remarks about actress Samantha at the audio launch of Son of Sathyamurthy in 2014.
