Pakistani actress Veena Mallik was injured and rushed to a hospital after her car collided head on with a truck. The accident happened the day before yesterday, sometime in the evening, when Mallik was returning to Islamabad. Though Mallik managed to escape with just a few bruises and cuts, one of her domestic help, who was sitting in the front seat is reportedly badly injured.
“Veena was returning from an event after which she went visiting a friend. Her driver was cruising at 100 kmph when a truck came from the front and hit her car. Her driver and maid, who were sitting in the front seat of the sedan got injured,” says a close friend of the actress.
Mallik and her aides were rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate assistance. “The doctor gave her first aid, to stop the bleeding and then asked her to see a doctor in Islamabad for internal injuries. We are yet to get a final update on her health. But we do know that everybody is doing fine and are out of danger,” the friend adds.
Sources say that Mallik is coping with the trauma but is particularly bothered by the bruises on her face. But it is not yet known whether her rumoured boyfriend, Indian actor Ashmit Patel will rush to Islamabad to be by her side.
