Veteran Kannada film actor KM Rathnakar (80) passed away at a private hospital in Mysore today.
He had been ailing for sometime and was suffering from kidney malfunction, family sources said.
Rathnakar had acted in over 350 Kannada films, mostly as a comedian. Some of his memorable films are Kanakadasa, Guru Shishyaru and Annaiah.
His first film was Vichitra Prapancha and his swan song was Aptarakshaka which also starred late Vishnuvardhan.
He is survived by three sons. His wife predeceased him.
Rathnakar's eyes were donated to JSS Hospital eye bank.
