Marvel Entertainment released the digital HD version of their biggest blockbuster of 2016, Doctor Strange. With the release, small featurettes accompanying the movie have also made their way out in the sun for fans to consume and come up with more theories about the story arcs that make Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It has been confirmed that Doctor Strange will make an appearance in the upcoming movie Thor: Ragnarok, to supposedly help the Norse god in finding his father Odin. The end credit of Doctor Strange showed the Sorcerer Supreme meet Thor in his Sanctum Sanctorum in New York. The duo talked about Loki being on Doctor's watchlist of naughty boys from other realms. Thor agrees that it's a worthy inclusion.
The scene, obviously, featured a rather funny interaction between the characters played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Chris Hemsworth. The behind-the-scene featurette shows the perfect comic timing of both the characters and how they both portray the specific brand of humour associated with their characters. For Doctor Strange, it is quick witted and slightly acerbic and for Thor, it's more condescending since the Norse god still thinks humans (apart from The Avengers and Jane Foster of, course) are beneath him.
Stephen Broussard, the executive producer for Doctor Strange, talks about the comic timing of both the actors and says that people see Cumberbatch as a drama actor and Hemsworth as an action star. Clearly, the man has not paid attention to Cumberbatch's role in Starter 10 and to Sherlock's whip-smart comebacks. Same is the case with Hemsworth as Kevin in the all-female reboot of Ghostbusters and the Marvel featurette explaining Thor's absence from Captain America: Civil War.
With Tom Hiddleston being friends with both Cumberbatch and Hemsworth, it is safe to assume that they must have got along like a house on fire on the sets of Thor: Ragnarok with this kind of bonhomie going on.
Now, we cannot wait for Thor: Ragnarok to release and more behind-the-scene featurettes to surface.
