Get ready to meet Ayesha, Taserface, and new members of the Guardians, Mantis, Nebula and Yondu! There is also Baby Groot!

There were media reports saying Disney bought two spots of advertisement to be aired during the 51st Super Bowl on Sunday night. Now we know that one was for The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and the other was one for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.

After becoming a team of criminals turned superheroes in the first movie, this time the gang is searching the vast universe to help Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), better known as Star Lord, to learn more about his parentage.

If you need to refresh your memory, at the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy, Quill's mother, on her deathbed, talks about how he is just like his father and how his father too was an angel.

At the San-Diego Comic Con 2016, it was revealed that Kurt Russell has joined Marvel Cinematic Universe to play Quill's father, Ego. Russell is not the only addition to the cast. In the trailer, for the first time, we get a look at Elizabeth Debicki's villain Ayesha.

In the comic books, Ayesha is known as Paragon or 'Her.' She is created by a group called 'The Enclave'. This group artificially creates super beings. The Enclave also created her counterpart Adam Warlock or 'Him'. Warlock is the one who has the Soul Gem. It is the final Infinity Stone which is important to complete the Infinity Gauntlet. The Soul Gem has not made an appearance in MCU yet. So far MCU has unveiled the Space Stone (Tesseract), the Reality Stone (Aether), the Power Stone (Orb of Morag), the Mind Gem (which Vision has), and the Time Stone (The Eye of Agamotto).

Will we see another Gem Stone appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Does it have any relation with Quill's father? These are just a few questions we will get answers to when the movie releases on May 5, 2017.

The trailer also reveals the new members of the Guardians team, Yondu (Michael Rooker), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Mantis (Pom Klementieff). Also see if you can spot another villain, thumping his chest, in the trailer. Hint - it's Chris Sullivan.

Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Dave Bautista as Drax, and Vin Diesel as the adorably fierce Baby Groot are also returning for the second movie directed by James Gunn.
