Ananya Panday is set to make her web series debut with Call Me Bae. To create buzz, the makers have shared a new promotional video featuring Karan Johar recreating the iconic dialogue from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

The series premieres on Amazon Prime Video on September 9. In the video, Ananya Panday is seen sitting in a spaceship while Karan Johar can be heard instructing everyone. He asks about her 'main character energy,' 'glam quotient,' and 'bank balance.' Ananya interrupts, asking what he is doing. Karan responds that he is preparing for her launch. Ananya, looking confused, reminds him that he has already launched her.

Karan dramatically replies, "Hum ek baar jeete hain, ek baar marte hain, shaadi bhi ek hi baar hoti hai, par launch to baar baar ho sakta hai na" (We live only once, we die only once, we get married only once, but a launch can happen again), clarifying that he is referring to her OTT launch. He then reveals the "awaiting coordinates" as Prime Video.

In the video, Karan Johar introduces Ananya Panday's character in Call Me Bae. He humorously tells Ananya that she'll be playing a new and challenging role—a wealthy girl from South Delhi who moves to Mumbai and loses everything.

The promotional video shows Ananya's character struggling to find a job, make friends, and adapt to her new life. The audience will follow her journey as she navigates these challenges. The post was captioned, "Coordinates of Bae's new destination: [Prime, Video] #CallMeBaeOnPrime, Sept 6." Fans quickly expressed their excitement for the show, praising the promotional strategy.

The series is created by Ishita Moitra, directed by Collin D’Cunha and features Ananya Panday in the lead role, with a supporting cast that includes Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.
