Lupita Nyong'o's Maz Kanata is one of the new characters introduced in the seventh installment of Star Wars franchise. The thousand-year-old space smuggler is the one Han Solo is kind of afraid of.
In the new behind-the-scenes footage posted by the star on Twitter, we can see how she performed with the motion-capture suit on.
“Lupita could actually perform as a normal human, which suddenly released her. We could actually composite that as she was performing on the motion-capture stage in real time,” says visual effects supervisor Ben Morris in the clip.
In the clip, we see Lupita Nyong'o work with Daisy Ridley, director JJ Abrams and motion-capture pioneer Andy Serkis.
The Blu-Ray set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to release on April 5
