Second trailer for the third movie in Star Trek reboot franchise now promises so many things!

It finally looks like a summer space movie that it should have been!

Yes, the second trailer for Star Trek Beyond has landed. After failing to amuse George Takei and rest of the fandom and even the casual viewers with their first outing, Justin Lin traded his Fast and Furious shoes to give us a glimpse of what 'Beyond' means for Kirk and the Enterprise.

Last we saw Kirk and Co was at the end of Star Trek Into Darkness, they were going on a five-year-long trip to discover the new territories in the vast universe. Now if you look at the trailer, we see that along with the exploring happening outside, there is a lot of introspection happening too.

The trailer starts with the voice-over by Chris Pine's captain James T Kirk. "My dad joined Starfleet because he believed in it. I joined on a dare." Bones (Karl Urban) tells him, " You joined to see if you can live up to him. You spent all this time trying to be your father. Now you are wondering just what it means to be you."

The crew and Kirk will face Krall and his army. The fight with this new (Once again a villain with a British accent, not that I am complaining) alien will rip the Enterprise and Kirk's crew to pieces. It will be a test for Spock and Uhura's relationship, it will be a test for Scotty, Chekov, Bones, and Sulu. They will also meet a stubborn ally in Jaylah.

Going beyond of what all they know is the course set for this franchise. I AM FINALLY EXCITED TO SEE IT!

JJ Abrams handed the reign to Justin Lin, who is known for his amazing Fast and Furious franchise. The story is written by fanboy Simon Pegg, who also plays Scotty, in collaboration with Doug Jung.

For the 50th anniversary of Gene Roddenberry's brilliant universe, Lin and Pegg decided to deconstruct the universe and rebuild it. In an interview with Empire magazine, the director said that they want to poke around to let the audience know what does the idea of the Federation means and why it is special.

Star Trek Beyond boasts the cast of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin who are returning for the third movie in rebooted franchise. They will be joined by Idris Elba who plays the baddie, Sofia Boutella who plays Jaylah, Shohreh Aghadshaloo who plays High Command of the Federation.

The movie is set to release on July 22.
