Rakesh Roshan is all set to wield the directorial baton again after Krrish 3 (2013) and the buzz is that the filmmaker won’t be directing a big budget extravaganza like Krrish 3, but a smaller one which won’t have his son Hrithik in it.
Says a source, “Rakesh Roshan wants to do something experimental and yet commercial. It will be a medium-budget film and he doesn’t want any big stars for it. There are concepts which he’s very excited about and currently he’s finalising one. For him, cinema is at a phase where one can do these kind of films and still be successful at the box-office.”
Rakesh admits that his next will not be a sequel to Krrish 3. When quizzed about whether it will be a small or medium-budget film, content-based film, he says, “Nothing is final. I have to still lock on a story and the scale depends on the story.” Will his next have Hrithik in it? Rakesh says, “Hrithik will always be there in my films.”
Hrithik is currently in talks with Sanjay Gupta for his next film which is said to start next year and Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thug which will go on floors in January next year. Rakesh Roshan will be producing Sanjay Gupta’s film.
