Whitney Houston is all set to croon on the finale of Dancing with the Stars to be held next week.

An ABC spokesperson confirmed that the 46-year-old singer/actress would perform on the November 24 finale, reports Us mag.

Only a month ago Whitney had revealed that her daughter encouraged her to sing once again.

She said that when Arista Records mogul Clive Davis called her to make her an offer, her daughter told her to go through with it.

Houston said that Davis called saying "It's time for you to come back and sing for us."

"My daughter said, 'Mom, you can do this.' She encourages and inspires me," she had said.

"I look at her eyes and I see myself, and I go, 'OK, I can do this.' "I'm still going to remain the quiet, private person I have been for the past 10 years.

"I just want to be recognised for my music, for that it does and how it inspires people. How it makes people feel as opposed to talking about Whitney all the time," she had added.
