If the appreciation of co-stars of Ricky film is anything to go by, it seems the future is bright for Haripriya who paired with Rakshit Shetty in this film that is filled with action, sentiment and romance. In Ricky, Haripriya plays the role of a naxal woman who fought for the welfare of tribal people.
“I put up my best efforts to meet director Rishab Shetty’s expectations. It was too tough to participate in the shoot that was held in Karkala forest. I suffered bruises during the shoot. It was a wonderful experience. I have to thank producer S V Babu and director Rishab Shetty for giving me this wonderful opportunity,’’ says Haripriya.
Some of Haripriya’s co-stars expect her to bag a state or national award for her sterling performance in this film. “I am not for awards but will accept with humility if I am chosen for state or national award,’’ says Haripriya.
Haripriya recently bagged Neer Dose, a controversial film from which Ramya, former MP from Mandya parliament segment, walked out due to some differences with hero Jaggesh and director Vijaya Prasad. The director has decided to replace Ramya with Haripriya. “I do not want to comment on others, but I am confident of doing justice to my assignment in Neer Dose. I have already participated in the shoot. I hope the audience will appreciate my performance in Neer Dose,’’ says Haripriya with a smile.
